Oak chips

Small pieces of oak wood used in place of oak barrels in fermenting and/or ageing wine.

From Hawaii, a distillate with rice, taro root, and molasses.

Old Fashioned Glass

Holds eight to ten ounces in a short ,stout shape. Often referred to as the " on the rocks" or 'rocks" glass.

Old vine

Wine produced from vines that are notably old.

Old World wine

Wines produced inside of the traditional wine growing areas of Europe and North Africa.

Olive Oil

Extra Virgin Olive Oil has a full, fruity flavour and the lowest acidity. Virgin Olive Oil is slightly higher in acidity and lighter in flavour. Pure Olive Oil is a processed blend of olive oils and has the highest acidity and lightest taste.

Oloroso

A type of sweet sherry. Harveys Bristol Cream is the best known example of an Oloroso.

Orange Bitters

Used in many drink recipes, most orange bitters come from England.

Organic

Food produced using feed or fertiliser of plant or animal origin, without the use of chemically formulated fertilisers, hormones, antibiotics or pesticides.

Orgeat

An almond flavoured sweetner.

Ouzo

Considered by many the national drink of Greece, this anise based liqueur is popular around the world.
