Tony's Irish Coffee

Description

Barry Walsh recommends using Power’s Gold Label when you make Irish coffee, because it is more strongly flavoured than the other Irish whiskeys.

Makes
4 to 6 cups

1 cup heavy cream

3 tbsp granulated sugar

6 cups strong, hot black coffee

3/4 cup Irish whiskey

Methods/steps

Using an electric mixer, beat the cream with 1 tbsp of sugar until soft peaks form. Set aside.

Combine remaining sugar, coffee and whiskey.

Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream. Serve immediately.
